Monday, June 23rd

Our Play Group meets every Monday and ever since summer began, has been meeting at the pool. Today was our first time to venture out to the somewhat intimidating pool. Aubrey was a little unsure at first, but then loved it.

Aubrey and Caroline checked each other out, as girls tend to do. Here's Caroline's blog.

And this is the other Caroline in our Play Group. Her mom is a wedding coordinator, too, and the one who invited us to join this play group.

This neighborhood has a pretty cool pool, complete with fountains and this tall bucket things that fill-up and randomly dump. Plus, the beach-like sloped entrance is great when moms are scared to let their babies get too deep. I wish our neighborhood had a pool.... the new YMCA by our house has a pool very similar to this one. Maybe we'll join next summer.

Getting ready for bed. This process starts at about 6pm. She nurses, then Ken feeds her solids (2 oz meat, 2 oz grain or veg, 2 oz fruit) and gets her ready for a bath. I give her a bath, then a baby massage (which is basically me trying to get some lotion on her while she tries to wiggle off of the changing table), put her in a sleep sack (we use these instead of blankets), then I read her a story, say a prayer, and lay her down. After a few minutes (2-3) of playing she starts fussing and Ken goes in to rock her for a minute, then she's back in her crib for the night. She usually wakes me up around 6am.
